Project: Happy City Exploring the connection between design and happiness 15-12-20 Enjoying Everyday Life updated inspiration Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Pinterest Email When a building, a design or urban distribution is conceived, we do not usually take into account the happiness it might generate. The Happy City project was created with the aim of changing this way of working. For more than ten years, this multidisciplinary team has been advising architects, designers and public officials, so that they can approach the creation of spaces, urban planning and design from a different perspective, focused on making end users happy. Throughout their career they have surveyed thousands of people to understand the link between their physical location and their emotions. They have also studied how landscapes influence altruistic behavior or how design contributes to social trust. The result of this research has been reflected in their work as counselors, but also in the book “Happy City: Transforming our lives through Urban Design”.
